One year

So what would you do with a year off?

work on your tan

get in (better) shape

catch up on your reading

catch up with old friends

finish that remodeling job

have a spotlessly clean house

travel

Well, I am in better shape than I was a year ago. And there have been a few small (very small) jobs that I’ve done, so I guess it’s not completely a year off. But the biggest accomplishment in the past year has been for my bodybuilding website. I’ve scanned or typed in 400 magazine articles from the 1930s to the 1970s (all in the public domain). Mostly they’ve been contest reports, such as for the 1947 Mr America contests, or biographies of the top bodybuilders of that era. It keeps me busy while waiting for the headhunters (not) to call in reply to the dozen or so resumes I send out a week.

This year, job or not, I must finish the remodeling.

Time is a precious thing and yet too much of it can be pernicious. I would definitely focus more on training–I’m trying to do so anyway since I hopefully will not be faced by a surfeit of job free time any time soon (I hope!!!!!).
I recently moved and being closer to a gym has definitely helped me with my fitness goals.

I’m hoping the job market gets better. Here’s to 2005 being a better year!!!

Dude, you forgot to add “update my blog” to your list of things to do.

Sorry about your Mom. And sorry I don’t read the blog more often.
